In preparation for open enrollment, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has announced they will be performing scheduled site maintenance on Healthcare.gov on the first 5 Sundays of open enrollment from 12am to 12pm, a continuation of last year’s procedure. December 9th, the last Sunday of open enrollment, was not included in the maintenance schedule. While critics are repeating last year’s concern that the maintenance could hinder Americans from being able to enroll, it was reported that Americans used the Healthcare.gov website more during open enrollment last year than ever before. With plenty of advance notice, please plan accordingly when you start your enrollment process and know that American Exchange is here waiting to help.
